Take care of your gluten-free guests and deliver yummy goodness to your skeptical non-gluten free friends that think flavor is lost when gluten is removed with this blueberry banana recipe. And, trust me… print out the recipe and have it on hand because they will want to the recipe once they taste it. Care to bet me? See my bookie at… www… just kidding! But seriously… your guests will rave at how delicious this bread is if they generally think GF foods taste dull. This will change their mind in one bite!
But it gets better! This recipe is healthy, inexpensive and is easy to clean up after making it. You can watch me make it and see how easy it is to make via my Facebook page.
Let me share a couple great things about this bread when you make it:
- 1 slice has 4 grams of proteins (more if you add nuts), 7 grams of fiber, and contains iron, calcium, vitamins A and C
- Using unbleached parchment sheets (not rolls) makes clean up a snap and better for you
- You can substitute tapioca flour with arrowroot flour if you want to freeze the bread
As I mentioned in the video as a side comment, the button below will give you my special substitution cheat sheet should you ever find yourself without an ingredient. It will also add you to my email list. I promise I will not fill your inbox up! The cheat sheet is a true life saver when you suddenly realize you are missing an ingredient in the recipe you are making.
Blueberries are in season right now! So take advantage of their low prices and make some loaves, freeze them and serve them when you need a healthy snack or breakfast.
As always, let me know what you think.
